Effectiveness and Feasibility of 5G-Based Remote Interactive Ultrasound Training in Critical Care

Background: Ultrasound is extensively used in critical care, and remote ultrasound training through 5G technology is becoming more common. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of 5G-based remote interactive ultrasound training for critical care diagnosis and treatment.
Methods: A 5G-based remote interactive ultrasound training system was tested among 90 critical care physicians from various off-site locations. They were divided into experimental and control groups and underwent different training methods. The theoretical and practical ultrasound capabilities of both groups were evaluated, along with their satisfaction with the training.
Results: Following the training, all physicians showed significantly higher assessment scores. The experimental group, trained using the 5G-based remote interactive system, had markedly higher assessment scores compared to the control group, along with higher satisfaction scores.
Conclusion: The 5G-based remote interactive ultrasound training system proved effective and well-received in critical care. These findings support its further promotion and application.
