Background
Alcohol use is a significant cause of substance abuse and violence against women. Educating individuals about the dangers of alcohol is crucial in preventing such violence.
Study Objectives
The study aims to determine how creative drama education affects the attitudes of men with alcohol and substance dependence regarding violence against women.
Methods
This research used a pre-test and post-test approach. It involved 35 male patients with alcohol and substance addiction, divided into two groups: one receiving creative drama education and the other not. Participants completed surveys before and after the education sessions.
Results
After the drama education, the group that participated showed noticeable improvements in their attitudes, especially regarding body image and identity. No significant changes were noted in the group that did not receive the education.
Conclusions
The results indicate that creative drama education can positively influence the attitudes of men with alcohol and substance use disorders towards violence against women. More research is needed to confirm these findings with larger and more varied groups.
