KIADEKU Project Overview
The KIADEKU project is focused on improving wound care for conditions like incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD) and pressure ulcers (PU) by using an AI application. This project combines data science with the expertise of wound care specialists.
Study Design
This study is a controlled clinical trial that compares two groups of nurses. One group uses the standard wound care methods, while the other group uses the new AI-based app. We collect data before and after the implementation of the app to see how it affects:
- Time spent on wound care
- Adherence to care guidelines
- Nurse workload
Data Analysis
We analyze the results using statistical methods to account for factors like the nurse’s experience, shift workload, and wound severity. We also evaluate how accurate and user-friendly the AI system is compared to traditional methods.
Expected Outcomes
We believe this study will help nurses provide better wound care and encourage the use of AI technology in nursing practices.
