Cancer patients were divided into two groups:

Results
Out of 71 participants:
- The prophylactic group experienced significant relief from itching, pain, and burning sensations.
- There was no significant difference in the overall occurrence of RID between the two groups.
- The gel did not negatively impact the patients’ quality of life.
- No adverse reactions to the gel were reported.
Conclusions
The herbal gel showed promise in reducing symptoms related to radiation dermatitis safely. It could be considered for use in patient care, especially for those undergoing treatment for breast, lung, and head and neck cancers.
