Our study evaluated the effectiveness of ChatGPT, an AI-powered natural language processing tool, in outpatient triage. We presented 30 common outpatient questions to ChatGPT and scored its responses with the help of experienced doctors.
Key Findings
The evaluation revealed that ChatGPT provided highly professional, comprehensive, and humanized responses. It demonstrated a high level of consistency with manual triage, with 93.3-100% agreement among 45 patients.
